2009 French Open Day 3

American No. 2 James Blake lost straight sets in the first round of the French Open (Roland-Garros).  Blake, ranked 16 in the world, lost to unseeded Leonardo Mayer of Argentina.

Also losing in the first round was world number 24 Mardy Fish, losing to Maximo Gonzalez, another unseeded Argentinian.

Of America’s top 3 men, only Andy Roddick advances to the second round.
