Astros Rally To Beat Rangers

The Texas Rangers took a 2-run lead into the 9th inning Wednesday night against the Houston Astros.  It wasn’t enough, as the Astros scored 4 runs against Neftali Feliz to win the game 5-3.

Rangers starter Colby Lewis struck out 8 during his 7 shutout innings.  Houston scored a run in the 8th off reliever Dave Bush.  With a 3-1 lead going into the 9th, Texas turned to star closer Feliz, who gave up 4 runs on 4 hits, including a home run.  It is Feliz’ 4th blown save of the year.

Nelson Cruz and Michael Young each had a good night at the plate, both going 2-for-4.  Cruz hit his 17th home run of the year, a solo shot in the 5th.

The Rangers won 2 of 3 over the Astros in the home portion of the series.  They will play a series in Houston next week following a 3-game homestand against the Mets, which starts Friday.
