Cowboys Defeat Seahawks

The Dallas Cowboys capped off a historic day at Cowboys Stadium with a 10-point win over the Seattle Seahawks.  At halftime of the 23-13 victory, the Cowboys inducted 3 new members into the elite Ring of Honor, Drew Pearson, Larry Allen, and Charles Haley.

Dallas had trouble in the red zone again in the first half, failing to score a touchdown despite having the ball inside the 20 yard line on 3 occassions.  The Cowboys picked things up in the 2nd half to put the game away.

Tony Romo completed 19 of 31 passes for 279 yards and 2 touchdowns.  The touchdown passes were to Laurent Robinson, who caught 5 passes for 32 yards and Jason Witten, who caught 4 for 71 yards.

Running back DeMarco Murray continued to impress, with 139 yards on 22 carries.

The Cowboys defense swarmed the Seahawks, picking off 3 Tarvaris Jackson passes, one each by Terrance Newman, Jason Hatcher, and Gerald Sensabaugh.  The rushing defense showed signs of weakness as they gave up 135 yards to Marshawn Lynch.

Dallas played good enough to win and even their record at 4-4 midway through the season.  Better play in the red zone, and more consistent play on defense will be needed if the Cowboys are going to make a push to the playoffs.
