Cowboys Need Overtime To Beat Rival Redskins

The Dallas Cowboys needed extra time to squeek out a win against the Washington Redskins, 27-24.
After taking a 10-0 lead, the Cowboys went flat and found themselves behind 17-10 at the end of the 3rd quarter. Dallas rallied to score twice and take a 24-17 lead, but the Redskins drove 89 yards to tie the game with 14 seconds left.
In overtime, Washington got the ball first and drove 48 yards before Graham Gano missed on a 52-yard field goal attempt. The Cowboys took 7 plays to put kicker Dan Bailey in place for a game-winning 39-yard field goal.
DeMarco Murray led the Cowboys on the ground, gaining 73 yards on 25 carries. Felix Jones returned to the lineup to rush for 18 yards on 5 carries.
Tony Romo threw for 292 yards, completing 23 of 37 attempts. 3 passes went for touchdowns. Romo’s quarterback rating was 113.8.
Tight end Jason Witten gained the most receiving yards, 85, on 3 catches, including a 59-yard touchdown. Receiver Dez Bryant caught 3 passes for 68 yards and a touchdown. Laurent Robinson caught 4 for 34 yards and a TD. Murray led the team in catches with 6 for 32 yards.
Bailey was 2-for-2 on field goals, extending his streak to 24 straight.
Dallas has won 3 in a row and is in 2nd place in the NFC East. They will need to play better in just 4 days as they host Miami in the traditional Thanksgiving day game.
