Cowboys Selected To Pro Bowl

The Dallas Cowboys have 6 players named to the Pro Bowl.  2 of the Cowboys were named as starters, center Andre Gurode and linebacker DeMarcus Ware.

Joining Ware on the NFC’s defensive squad is tackle Jay Ratliff.

In addition to Gurode, the offense will consist of Miles Austin, Jason Witten, and Leonard Davis.

It is the first Pro Bowl for Austin, who is 5th in the NFL for receiving yards after 15 games despite not starting the first 4 games.

Witten leads the Cowboys with 88 receptions and is closing in on another 1000 yard season.

Gurode and Davis anchor a line that is ranked 3rd in total offense.

Notably absent this year are quarterback Tony Romo, who is having a year worthy of Pro Bowl selection and perennial Pro Bowler Flozell Adams, who was rightfully excluded. Incidentally, also absent was Buffalo wide receiver Terrell Owens.

Minnesota leads all teams with 8 selections, followed by Dallas, Indianapolis, and Philadelphia, each with 6.
