Cowboys Sign Sensabaugh To 1-Day Deal

The Dallas Cowboys signed safety Gerald Sensabaugh to a one-day contract today, allowing him to retire as a Cowboy. Sensabaugh signed with Dallas as a free agent on March 10, 2009, playing the final four years of his career with the Cowboys. He was originally drafted in the fifth-round (157th overall) of the 2005 NFL Draft by Jacksonville out of North Carolina. For his career, he started 84-of-112 games posting 469 tackles, two sacks, six tackles for loss, 43 pressures, forced four fumbles, five fumble recoveries and 14 interceptions. He also excelled on special teams throughout his career, recording 41 tackles, four blocked kicks and one fumble recovery. He appeared in two playoff games in his eight-year career, 2005 with Jacksonville and 2009 with Dallas, totaling 12 tackles, two tackles for loss, one pass breakup and adding another stop on special teams.

 

The Cowboys also announced today the release of quarterback Aaron Corp and defensive tackle Brian Price.
