Cruz lifts Rangers over Indians

Nelson Cruz hit a 2 run homer in the 10th inning to lead the Texas Rangers over the Cleveland Indians 4-2.  It is Cruz’s American League leading 5th home run in 7 games.  He is now batting .458 with a 7-game hitting streak.  “We battled all day long and ended up getting the big hit in the end,” said Rangers manager Ron Washington.

The winning pitcher was Frank Francisco, who earlier this week blew 2 saves.  Francisco came came on in the 9th with the score tied and retired the Indians.  Neftali Feliz then retired Cleveland in the bottom of the 10th and earned the save.

The Rangers are now 4-3 on the season.
