Dale Jr Flames Out Early In Texas

Dale Earnhardt Jr.’s day ended on just the 2nd green flag lap at the Duck Commander 500 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race at Texas Motor Speedway.  Earnhardt drove slightly into the grass on the front stretch of the 1.5 mile superspeedway and lost control, hitting the wall and coming to a stop in flames.

After being evaluated and released from the infield medical center, Earnhardt was clearly frustrated as he met with the media, “I’m disappointed,” Earnhardt said. “Don’t like it when I made the mistake there and that’s going to bother me for a while.”
