Dallas Mavericks Beat Philadelphia 76ers 82-75

The Dallas Mavericks topped the Philadelphia 76ers 82-75 Friday night.  It is the 6th straight win for the Mavericks.  Dallas has won 3 straight against the Sixers and 10 of the last 12.

Dirk Nowitzki led all scorers with 28 points, 24 in just the 2nd half.  Nowitzki also led both teams in rebounds with 12.  Dominique Jones scored 12 points and Vince Carter had 10 points for the Mavericks.

Mavs point guard Jason Kidd almost had a triple double, with 9 points, 9 rebounds, and 8 assists.

The Mavericks held the Sixers to just 34-percent shooting and only 24 points in the 2nd half.  Dallas head coach Rick Carlisle acknowledged the effort, “The story of the game was defense.”

The Mavericks will play Sunday at Madison Square Garden against the New York Knicks.
