Dallas Stars rally to defeat Chicago

The Dallas Stars overcame an early 3-0 deficit to win 4-3 in a shootout against the Chicago Blackhawks.  It is the biggest comeback for the Stars since 2007 when they also trailed 3-0 and won 4-3 against Detroit.  This is Dallas’ 4th victory in the last 7 games against Chicago.

The Stars faced their former teammate Marty Turco and took advantage of the familiarity with the goalie during the shootout.  Brenden Morrow, Brad Richards, and Mike Ribeiro all scored with wristshots during the shootout.

Stephane Robidas recorded one goal and one assist tonight for his sixth multiple point game of the season. Robidas scored his fourth goal of the season and notched his first goal since he scored the game winning goal vs. Minnesota on Dec. 4. The Stars are 4-0-0 this season when Robidas records a goal and 6-0-0 when he records a multiple point game. Robidas has scored three of his four goals at home.

Brad Richards netted his 23rd goal of the season tonight and has points in 10 of his last 13 games (six goals, nine assists).

With one goal against Chicago, Brenden Morrow has scored more goals since Dec. 16 than any other Star (15 goals in that span). The next closest Star is Brad Richards, who has 10 goals in that span.
