Dallas Tennis Classic Moves Into Quarterfinals

The Dallas Tennis Classic begins quarterfinal action today at The Four Seasons Resort in Las Colinas.

Top seeded Marin Cilic advanced to the quarters by defeating Lukas Rosol.  Cilic will face Frank Dancevic, who slipped past 5th seed Yen-Hsun Lu.

Wildcard Tommy Haas stayed alive by topping Nicolas Mahut.  Haas will play Gilles Muller, who beat Michael Russell.

In the bottom half of the draw, No. 6 seed Dudi Sela retired in his match against Bjorn Phau.  Phau will face Robin Haase, who beat Leonardo Mayer.

8th seed Lukas Lacko topped Benjamin Becker and will face Igor Andreev, who knocked out Flavio Cipolla.

In quarterfinals doubles action on Thursday, the American team of Bobby Reynolds and Michael Russell defeated Marin Cilic and Nicholas Monroe to advance to the semifinal round.  Their opponents will be Flavio Cipolla and Andreas Seppi, who beat the team of Martin Emmrich and Andreas Siljestrom.

Play begins today at 11:00am.
