A last minute goal by Kenny Cooper propelled FC Dallas to a 3-2 victory over the Houston Dynamo Sunday afternoon in Frisco.  It was Cooper’s first goal of the season and came after Houston rallied from an early 2-0 deficit.

FC Dallas scored in the 34th minute with a bounce of the back of George John which went into the corner of the net.  Less than 2 minutes later, Andrew Jacobson scored his first goal of the season with an assist from David Ferreira.

Dallas appeared to take a 3-0 lead a few minutes later when Jackson took a pass from Ferriera and put it in the goal, only to be denied when the official called the pass offsides.

Late in the 2nd half, Andrew Driver cut Houston’s deficit to 1 with a goal in the 79th minute.  Brad Davis tied the game for Houston at the 83 minute mark.

Cooper’s game-winner came in the 90th minute off an assist from Michel Perreira.

The win allows Dallas to reclaim “El Capitan”, the name given to a civil-war-era howitzer that goes to the annual winner between FC Dallas and Houston.
