Harvick Wins Wild Truck Race At Texas

Kevin Harvick won the WinStar World Casino 350k, his 13th victory in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series.  It is his 4th victory of 2011.  This is Harvick’s first victory at Texas Motor Speedway.

The brothers Austin and Ty Dillon came in 2nd and 3rd.  Austin Dillon is the current series points leader.

Early in the race, after contact on the backstretch, Kyle Busch retaliated against Ron Hornaday Jr by putting him hard into the wall.  NASCAR officials parked Busch for the race, with further penalties possible.  Busch has a history of conflict with Kevin Harvick, who is the team owner of Hornaday.

Hornaday came into the race only 15 points out of the lead for the series championship.  With the incident, Hornaday’s hopes for a 5th title are extinguished.
