Kyle Busch On Pole for NRA 500

Kyle Busch won the Coors Light Pole Award for the NRA 500 at Texas Motor Speedway.  Busch set a track record with a lap of 27.509 seconds for a speed of 196.299 mph.

This is Busch’s 12th pole and 2nd of the year.  It is his first pole at Texas, where he has won 6 races in other NASCAR national series, including the O’Reilly Auto Parts 300 race last night in the NASCAR Nationwide Series.

Busch’s brother, Kurt, will join him on the front row.  This is the 2nd time the brothers have started 1-2, the last time at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, a sister track to TMS.

Fan favorite Dale Earnhardt, Jr will start 6th, in front of teammates Jimmie Johnson and Jeff Gordon.

Danica Patrick will start 42nd.
