Kyle Busch Wins 2009 O’Reilly 300
|Kyle Busch, driver of the number 18 NOS Energy Drink Toyota, won the NASCAR Nationwide Series O’Reilly 300 at Texas Motor Speedway. This is his third victory in a row at TMS. Busch dominated the race, leading a series record 178 laps, while becoming the first driver to win from the pole in 17 Nationwide series races at Texas.
Tony Stewart finished second. It is his fourth top-10 finish in six races at Texas Motor Speedway. Brad Keselowski finished third. Series leader Carl Edwards ran in the top-10 until he scraped the wall with four laps to go and had to make a pit stop. Edwards finished 18th, with his series lead decreasing to just 38 points over Busch.
