The Dallas Mavericks acquired No. 43 overall draft pick Ricky Ledo from the Philadelphia 76ers for a 2014 second round pick, the Mavericks announced Friday.
Ledo, a 6-foot-7 shooting guard out of Providence, was ruled ineligible by the NCAA last season but was allowed to practice with the Friars.
Ledo was a highly-coveted recruit at South Kent (Conn.) High School. He was named a Jordan All-American and averaged 23.4 points and 6.2 rebounds in his senior season.
Scout.com ranked Ledo No. 5 among shooting guards and No. 17 overall nationally.
The 43rd pick was originally sent to the Mavericks from the Boston Celtics (via the Brooklyn Nets) in a deal that also included the draft rights to 16th overall pick Lucas Nogueira.
