Mavericks fall to Thunder

The Dallas Mavericks lost to the Oklahoma City Thunder 99-95 at the American Airlines Center.  The Mavericks were again with forward Dirk Nowitzki, who sat out the 6th straight game with a knee injury.  Also out was Caron Butler, who will miss the rest of the season.  Dallas has lost 4 of the 6 games without Nowitzki.

Oklahoma City went on an 18-4 run in the 3rd quarter to take the lead for good.  The Thunder outscored the Mavericks in all but the 1st quarter.

Shawn Marion led the Mavs for the third time this season with 25 points, most in the first half when he went 10 for 12 from the floor.  Jason Terry joined him with 19 points.   Dallas center Tyson Chandler scored his third straight double-double, with 14 points and 18 rebounds.

The Mavericks host Orlando Saturday.
