Mavericks struggle, but win 13th consecutive game

The Dallas Mavericks overcame an 18-point deficit to win their 13th game in a row.  The sluggish Mavericks came from behind against the New Jersey Nets to post a 96-87 victory at home.

Dallas star Dirk Nowitzki had an awful game, scoring just 12 points, less than half his season average.  Nowitzki had as many turnovers as rebounds, only 4 assists and no steals.  Fortunately for the Mavericks, the rest of the team woke up in the 2nd half.  Jason Kidd led Dallas scorers with 20 points, followed by Caron Butler with 18.  Rookie Roddie Beaubois continues to impress, scoring 16 off the bench.
