The Dallas Mavericks defeated the Golden State Warriors 104-94 Friday night at the American Airlines Center in the final home regular season game.  The Mavs finished the 2011-12 season with a home record of 23-10 (.697).  With the victory over Golden State on Friday, the Mavericks took the season series 2-1 and have now won eight of the last 10 regular-season meetings with the Warriors.

Mavericks swingman Vince Carter scored all 19 of his points in the second half, including the Mavericks’ first eight points of the fourth quarter. He added nine boards in 27 minutes. Carter has now scored 18-plus points in each of his last three games (and is averaging 20.0 ppg in that span). With a 3-pointer at the 3:11 mark of the fourth quarter, he became the 18th player in NBA history with at least 1,500 career treys. He joins teammates Jason Kidd (1,874) and Jason Terry (1,787), who rank third and fourth all-time on the NBA’s all-time 3-point field goals made list.

Brandan Wright went 8-of-9 from the field en route to a season-high 17 points in 17 minutes off the bench (previous high 16 points on two occasions). He added seven boards and a block.

The Mavericks outrebounded the Warriors 52-35 on Friday and outscored Golden State 16-2 in second-chance points.

Kelenna Azubuike made his Mavericks debut at the 8:46 mark of the second quarter and logged 6 total minutes. He played in his first NBA game since 11/14/09 (Golden State at Milwaukee).

The Mavericks clinched their 12th consecutive playoff berth (18th overall) with a Houston loss to New Orleans yesterday on 4/19.

The attendance for tonight’s game was 20,547. The Mavs have now sold out 432 consecutive regular-season games at American Airlines Center, which is an NBA-best sellout streak. The streak began on Dec. 15, 2001 and Dallas has sold out an additional 58 playoff games during that stretch.

Dallas plays Saturday in Chicago.
