The Dallas Mavericks put out a lackluster effort as they fell to the Atlanta Hawks 106-89 Thursday night.  The Mavericks, with their playoff spot secured, rested most of their players in preparation for the first round playoff series against Oklahoma City.

Dallas head coach Rick Carlisle rested Jason Kidd for the second straight game.  Mavs forward Dirk Nowitzki only played 26 minutes, none in the 4th quarter.  Nowitzki still led the team with 22 points.

Rodrigue Beaubois was next highest scorer on the team with 14 points, followed by Jason Terry with 11.

The Mavericks open the playoffs in Oklahoma City on Saturday.
