The Dallas Mavericks lost for the 9th straight time to the Oklahoma City Thunder Monday night. Unlike the previous meetings this season, which went to overtime, this game was a blow-out by the home Thunder team. Oklahoma City led by as many as 33 points before closing out a 112-91 victory.
Dallas again played with less than full strength. Center Chris Kaman was out while recovering from a concussion. Vince Carter missed the game with illness, and Dirk Nowitzki is still showing effects of a sprained hip.
The Mavericks were led by Shawn Marion with 23 points, a season-high. Dominique Jones came off the bench to add 15 points. Jae Crowder and Nowitzki each finished with 10 points.
The Mavericks host Portland on Wednesday to open a 5-game homestand.
