Mavs Miracle Comeback Ties Series

The Dallas Mavericks overcame a 15-point 4th quarter deficit to defeat the Miami Heat 95-93 on Thursday night.

Dirk Nowitzki led the Mavericks with 24 points, 9 in the final minute.  Nowitzki also added 11 rebounds, all while playing with a torn tendon in his finger.

Shawn Marion added 20 points for Dallas.  Jason Terry came on big in the 4th quarter, getting 9 of his 16 points in the final 7 minutes.  The Mavericks went on a 22-5 run to close the game.

Miami’s Dwayne Wade led all scorers with 36 points, but it was his celebrating in front of the Dallas bench that motivated the Mavericks.

This was the first home playoff loss for Miami this year.

The series now comes to Dallas for the next 3 games beginning Sunday night.
