Mavs Reassign Hammons

DALLAS – The Dallas Mavericks announced today that they have assigned center A.J. Hammons and guard-forward Nicolas Brussino to the Texas Legends of the NBA Development League.

Hammons (7-0, 250) has appeared in 17 games for the Mavericks this season, averaging 1.4 points and 1.2 rebounds in 4.5 minutes. He has made four of six career 3-point attempts (4-of-6, .667).

Hammons is averaging 12.5 points, 7.2 rebounds, 2.1 blocks and 25.9 minutes in 14 games (13 starts) for the Legends this year.

Brussino (6-8, 195) has played in 39 games for Dallas this season, averaging 1.7 points and 1.2 rebounds in 6.9 minutes.

In four games (all starts) with the Legends, Brussino is averaging 16.8 points, 7.0 rebounds and 4.5 assists in 37.0 minutes.
