Mavs win 101-73 over Golden State

The Dallas Mavericks clinched a playoff spot with a 101-73 victory over the Golden State Warriors on Sunday.  It is the Mavericks’ sixth straight victory over the Warriors.

Dirk Nowitzki led all scorers with 20 points.  Additionally, he extended his streak of consecutive free throws made to 58. It’s the longest streak in the NBA this season (Steve Nash made 48 straight from 12/15/10-1/12/11).

Pete Stojakovic came off the bench to score 17.  Ian Mahinmi collected nine points and a career-high 13 rebounds vs. Golden State on Sunday.  DeShawn Stevenson made his second consecutive start (51st of the season) and scored eight points in 16 minutes. It marked the most points he’s scored in a game since 2/2/11 (13 vs. New York).

Tyson Chandler ruled the boards with 17 rebounds.  Overall, Dallas outrebounded Golden State 51-39.

The Mavericks next game is vs. Minnesota on March 24 at 7:30 p.m. CT
