Mavs win 6 in a row

The Dallas Mavericks won their 6th game in a row Wednesday night in Madison Square Garden against the New York Knicks.  During the 113-97 victory, Dallas forward Dirk Nowitzki became just the 24th player in NBA history to score over 22,000 points.

Nowitzki scored 29 points to lead all scorers.  It is his 3rd game in a row with 20 or more points.  Mavericks head coach Rick Carlisle explains why, “There’s a guy who’s worked more on developing his game [than anybody] in the history of the league. There’s a reason the ball goes in the basket. He’s put in the work.”

Nowitzki also grabbed 11 rebounds as the Mavs controlled the boards 54-34.

Tyson Chandler also had another double-double with 15 points and 11 rebounds for Dallas.  J.J. Barea came off the bench to score 22 points, and Jason Kidd dished out 10 assists.

Dallas plays at Boston on Friday.
