Mazara Wins A.L. Rookie of the Month
|Mazara becomes the first Texas rookie ever to win the award twice and is the first player to take honors in consecutive months since 2014. He batted .283 (30-106) with 7 home runs and 17 RBI over 27 games in May, leading all major league rookies in RBI and home runs. Mazara has 52 hits this season, the second-highest total of any Texas batter over his first 45 career games.
Since the start of 2013, the Rangers have had rookies win the monthly award 5 times, most of any major league club in that span.
