Mickelson makes Masters charge in 3rd round

Phil Mickelson recorded back to back eagles today at the Masters as he moved into 2nd place, one shot behind leader Lee Westwood.  Mickelson has scored below par in all three rounds so far, only once in 17 attempts at Augusta has he done it all four rounds.  If he can, he stands a good chance of winning his third Masters championship.

Leader Lee Westwood had previously never led a Major after any round.  Westwood has held 2 third round leads in his TOUR career, winning one.  So far this season, the 3rd round leader has won 8 of 14 times on TOUR.

Tiger Woods remains in the hunt, tied for 3rd at four shots behind the leader.  Woods has come from behind to win 21 of his 71 career victories.

Fred Couples, at 50, continues to defy age by going into the final round in 5th place at -7.
