Murray Selects OU For Transfer

Former Texas A&M quarterback Kyler Murray has decided to transfer to Oklahoma and has signed a financial aid agreement, the school announced Thursday.

Murray will join the Sooners for spring drills. He will sit out next season due to transfer regulations.

“We’re very happy to welcome Kyler to our program and we look forward to working with him,” coach Bob Stoops said in a statement.

Murray played in eight games as a freshman for Texas A&M this season and passed for 686 yards and five touchdowns. He was intercepted seven times.

Murray was the National Gatorade Football Player of the Year at the high school level as a senior at Allen High School in Allen, Texas. He passed for 4,713 yards and 54 touchdowns and arrived at Texas A&M as a ballyhooed recruit.

Murray informed Aggies coach Kevin Sumlin of his plans to transfer last week.
