Qualifying Rounds Begin at Texas Tennis Open

Action got underway today at the Texas Tennis Open at the Hilton DFW Lakes hotel in Grapevine.  The first round of the qualifying tournament began with 16 players battling for the 4 available spots in the main draw.

This is the inaugural event for the Texas Tennis Open.  The WTA International level tournament is the final chance for players to warm-up and earn points for the U.S. Open.  The international field, with players from 21 countries, includes 3 of the top-20 players in the world.

The main draw begins tomorrow at 5:00pm.  Tickets are still available at www.ticketmaster.com
