Rangers Beat Twins

The Texas Rangers defeated the Minnesota Twins 4-1 Friday night in Minneapolis.
Starting pitcher Matt Harrison improved to 2-0 on the season by going 8 innings, just 1 run on 7 hits. Alexi Ogando pitched the final inning in place of Joe Nathan. Ogando earned his 1st save of the year.
The top five of the Rangers batting order accounted for 8 of the te am’s 9 hits. Shortstop Elvis Andrus led the way with 3 hits. Ian Kinsler belted his 4th home run of the year. Michael Young, returning to the DH role, went 2 for 4 at the plate.
The Rangers played outstanding defense, which included diving catches by outfielders Nelson Cruz and David Murphy.
The 6-2 Rangers face the Twins again Saturday at noon.
