Rangers Hit 5 Homers Against KC

The Texas Rangers hit 5 home runs en route to an 8-4 win over the Kansas City Royals on Monday in Kansas City.
Geovany Soto got the Rangers started with a 3-run blast in the 2nd inning. Josh Hamilton followed with a solo home run in the 3rd. Adrian Beltre, Nelson Cruz, and Michael Young all went deep for Texas. The Rangers’ hottest batter, David Murphy, went 2-for-4 on the day.
Starting pitcher Yu Darvish retired the first 17 batters he faced, the best start of any Texas pitcher in a decade. Darvish ended the game allowing 3 hits in 7 innings as he improved his record to 14-9.
Matt Harrison will be on the mound for the Rangers as they continue the series in Kansas City on Tuesday night.
