Rangers lose series to Yankees

The Texas Rangers may be the defending AL champions, but the New York Yankees are still the Yankees.  Even though Texas outhit New York, the Yankees made theirs count as they defeat they Rangers 6-5 Sunday night.  New York takes the series 2 games to 1.

Adrian Beltre and Michael Young both went 3-for-4 as the Rangers continued to show good offense.  Unfortunately, the Yankees also have firepower.  The Bronx Bombers added 3 home runs to their league-leading 27. 

Rangers starter Alexi Ogando gave up 5 runs in 6 2/3 innings.  Ogando had started the season with 14 straight scoreless innings.

Texas will host the Angels for a series starting Monday.
