Rangers lose to A’s

The Texas Rangers lost to the Oakland A’s 3-1 Friday night in Oakland.  Oakland pitcher Trevor Cahill pitched 7 scoreless innings to improve his record against Texas to 7-2.

The Rangers had chances, with 11 hits and 4 walks, but they left 12 on base.  Texas had no extra base hits for the entire game.  The only run for the Rangers came in the 9th inning when Elvis Andrus scored on a single by Michael Young.  Andrus, Young, and Mitch Moreland each had multiple hits for the Rangers.

Texas pitcher C.J. Wilson got his first loss on the season with a 7 inning outing which gave up all 3 Oakland runs.

The Rangers and A’s continue today at 3:05pm
