Rangers Lose To Mariners

The Texas Rangers lost on the road to the Seattle Mariners 4-0.  It is only the 8th time this season the Rangers have been shutout.

Starting pitcher CJ Wilson had his streak of 19 consecutive scoreless innings come to an end as his record falls to 16-7.  Wilson went 6 1/3 innings and gave up all 4 runs while striking out 8.

The Rangers red-hot offense finally cooled off.  Texas could only generate 4 hits in the game, 2 of them by Endy Chavez.  Adrian Beltre’s hitting streak came to an end at 19 games.

Texas remains 3 1/3 games over the Angels for the AL West lead.  The Angels lost to the Orioles 8-3.  The Rangers continue play in Seattle tonight.
