Rangers Rally To Beat Orioles

The Texas Rangers scored 3 runs in the bottom of the seventh inning to defeat the Baltimore Orioles 4-2 Tuesday night before the home crowd at the Ballpark in Arlington.

Though starting pitcher Matt Harrison only allowed 2 runs through 6 innings, the Rangers were down by 1 when manager Ron Washington turned to the bullpen.  Tommy Hunter, who lost a spot in the rotation after spending the spring on the disabled list, came in and shut down the Orioles in the 7th inning to earn his first win as a reliever.  Mark Lowe pitched an inning before Neftali Feliz came in for his 17th save of the season.

The Rangers got offensive production from the middle of the lineup, getting 2 hits from Josh Hamilton and Nelson Cruz.  Michael Young went 3-for-4.

Ironically, Texas got the 3-run rally off reliever Jim Johnson, who they had inquired about while searching for bullpen help.

The Rangers and Orioles continue their series tonight at the Ballpark.
