The Texas Rangers scored early and often against the Minnesota Twins on Saturday night in Arlington.

The Rangers racked up 9 runs in the first 3 innings to put the Twins away 9-3.  Ironically, the only Ranger not to get a hit was Adrian Beltre, who hit for the cycle just a day before.  The Rangers amassed 14 hits overall, led by Ian Kinsler, who had a triple and a home run as part of his 3-for-5 night.

Texas has scored 72 runs in the last 10 games, winning 8 games.

Ryan Dempster started for the Rangers and earned his 8th win.  Dempster gave up 2 runs in 6 innings while striking out 7.

The Rangers have an AL best 75-51 record and hold a 6 game lead over the A’s in the AL West.

Texas will try for the 4-game sweep on Sunday with Scott Feldman on the mound.  First pitch is at 2:05pm at the Ballpark.
