Rangers Snap Losing Streak

The Texas Rangers ended a 5-game losing streak Friday night with a 6-2 victory over the Braves in Atlanta.

Colby Lewis, after two straight terrible outings, went 6 2/3 innings, giving up just 2 runs while striking out 10.  Arthur Rhodes, Yoshinori Tateyama, and Neftali Feliz combined to finish the Braves without allowing any hits.

Offensively, the Rangers combined for 12 hits.  Josh Hamilton went 4-for-5, including a 2-run home run in the 5th inning when the Rangers put the game away with 4 runs.  Nelson Cruz appears to be coming out of his slump, hitting a pair of doubles for 3 RBIs.

The Texas defense made big plays, including a terrific highlight from Lewis, who snagged a slow-roller with his glove and made a backhand flip to first base for the out.

Texas hopes to continue the good play against the Braves this afternoon.
