Rangers Sweep A’s
|The Texas Rangers completed a 3-game road sweep of the Oakland A’s on Sunday with a 7-6 victory at the Oakland Coliseum.
After giving up a 6-run lead, the Rangers took the lead for good on a RBI single by David Murphy in the 9th.
Texas relied on aggressive base-running and their bullpen for the victory.
Starting pitcher Matt Harrison could only last 5 1/3 innings as he gave up all 6 Oakland runs. Mike Adams gets credit for the win and Neftali Feliz earned his 23 save of the year.
The Rangers now have a 4 game lead over the Angels, who lost in Toronto. Texas will start a 4-game series with the Angels on Monday in Anaheim.
