Rangers Sweep Indians
|The Texas Rangers completed the sweep of the visiting Cleveland Indians Thursday night at the Ballpark in Arlington with a 7-4 victory.
Texas pitcher Alexi Ogando delivered 6 quality innings, giving up just two hits while striking out 4. Ogando did not give up a run as he earned his 13th win of the year. The bullpen was not as sharp, with Darren Oliver and Mike Adams each giving up a run and Neftali Feliz giving up a pair of runs before putting the game away.
Josh Hamilton homered for the 2nd game in a row, his 22nd of the season. Adrian Beltre added his 25th homer of the year. Designated hitter Michael Young contributed 3 RBIs with a double in the 5-run 5th inning. Young now has 101 runs batted in this year.
The Texas lead over the LA Angels increases to 3 1/2 games. The Rangers travel to Seattle to open a series with the Mariners tonight.
