Rangers Sweep Indians

The Texas Rangers completed the sweep of the visiting Cleveland Indians Thursday night at the Ballpark in Arlington with a 7-4 victory.

Texas pitcher Alexi Ogando delivered 6 quality innings, giving up just two hits while striking out 4.  Ogando did not give up a run as he earned his 13th win of the year.  The bullpen was not as sharp, with Darren Oliver and Mike Adams each giving up a run and Neftali Feliz giving up a pair of runs before putting the game away.

Josh Hamilton homered for the 2nd game in a row, his 22nd of the season.  Adrian Beltre added his 25th homer of the year.  Designated hitter Michael Young contributed 3 RBIs with a double in the 5-run 5th inning.  Young now has 101 runs batted in this year.

The Texas lead over the LA Angels increases to 3 1/2 games.  The Rangers travel to Seattle to open a series with the Mariners tonight.
