Rangers Win 10 In A Row

The Texas Rangers win streak moves to 10 with a 5-1 victory over the Seattle Mariners on Saturday night.

Ian Kinsler led the way with a lead-off home run against Mariners All-Star Felix Hernandez.  It is Kinsler’s 5th lead-off homer of the year.  It is the first lead-off homer ever against Hernandez (193 starts).

Kinsler added another home run in the 8th.  Elvis Andrus and Endy Chavez each went 3-for-4 at the plate as the Rangers collected 12 hits in the game.

Starting pitcher C.J. Wilson gave up a run in the 5th inning to end the Texas streak of scoreless innings at 33.  Wilson went 7 innings, giving up 5 hits and striking out 7 for his 10th win of the season. 

The Rangers have a 3 game lead over the Angels in the AL West and will finish their series in Seattle today.
