The Texas Rangers won 4-3 against the Kansas City Royals on Saturday. The Rangers lead the series 2-0 and the win marks their fourth consecutive win.

The Rangers got off to an early lead as pitcher Scott Feldman in the first four innings. Feldman played 7 2/3 innings only giving up six hits and two runs. He also had four strikeouts to add to his sixth consecutive win after starting 0-6.

“He did a good job again,” Rangers manager Ron Washington said. “He’s keeping the ball down, he’s mixing his pitches, and he had a good fastball that he was able to move around in the zone. He was outstanding tonight and we certainly needed it.”

The Rangers bats were alive in tonight’s game as they took a 2-0 lead in the third inning off of a single by Josh Hamilton that brought in two runs. Newly acquired Mike Olt also had a phenomenal game in his second career start for the Rangers. Olt was responsible for RBI’s in the fourth and sixth innings which helped to seal the game for the Rangers. Olt finished with two RBI’s and a hit in the win.

“We’re playing good baseball,” Washington said. “It’s only four games, I’d like to make it 24 games.”

Texas looks to sweep Kansas City on Sunday. First pitch is in Kansas City at 1:10 p.m.
