Rangers Win Final Regular-Season Home Game

The Texas Rangers wrapped up the home regular season with a 12-5 victory over the Seattle Mariners on Sunday at the Ballpark in Arlington.  The 43,508 in attendance were treated with 8 home runs in the game, 4 by each team.  Rangers catcher Yorvit Torrealba hit 2 long balls, including a grand slam in the 7th inning.  Adrian Beltre hit his 30th home run of the year, Ian Kinsler hit number 31.

Texas starting pitcher Derek Holland earned his 16th win of the year, matching C.J. Wilson for the team lead.

Though the Rangers have clinched the division, they go into the final week of the season with a 1-game lead over Detroit for the No. 2 seed in the AL.  

Texas opens a series in Anaheim against the Angels on Monday.
