Rangers win opener

The Texas Rangers won their season opener in a spectacular fashion against the Toronto Blue Jays.  Shut out for 6 innings, the Rangers got a game-tying 3-run homer by Nelson Cruz.  Down again by a run in the bottom of the 9th, Cruz again made the big play with an RBI double, sending the winning run to third.  Following an intentional walk of Chris Davis, Jarrod Saltalamacchia blasted a hit to right-center field to score the final run.

Frank Francisco pitched a scoreless 9th and gets the victory.  Starter Scott Feldman allowed 3 runs in 7 innings.
