Resurgent Yankees Rout Rangers

The New York Yankees stay alive in the American League Championship Series by overpowering the Texas Rangers 7-2.  The Yankees close the series to 3-2 and will try to tie the series Friday night in Arlington.

Rangers pitcher C.J. Wilson gave up 6 runs over 5 innings.  For the game, Texas gave up only 9 hits, including 3 home runs.  Unfortunately for the Rangers, the Yankee hits came with men on base.

The potent Ranger offense had 13 hits, but had difficulty clearing the bases as they left 8 runners stranded.

The Rangers can clinch their first ever World Series appearance with one more victory.
