Mike Ribeiro hit two first-period goals to lead the Dallas Stars to a 4-1 win over the Predators Thursday night in Nashville.

Ribeiro would leave the game in the 2nd period after being hit in the face with a shot by teammate Trevor Daley.  Ribeiro gained respect from his teammates by returning to the game midway through the 3rd period with stitches and missing teeth.

Jamie Benn scored the only goal in the 2nd period, his 11th of the season.  He would add an assist to Adam Burish’s goal in the 3rd period.

Kari Lehtonen stopped 24 of 25 shots for the Stars.

Dallas is 22-16-1 and in 3rd place in the Pacific Division.  The Stars return home to play Edmonton Saturday afternoon at the American Airlines Center.
