Romo Out For Season

The Dallas Cowboys confirmed Friday that quarterback Tony Romo suffered a hairline fracture in his left collarbone and will miss the rest of the season.

Cowboys owner Jerry Jones told 105.3 The Fan in Dallas that the CT scan on Friday showed the fracture, but Romo will not need surgery.

Romo was injured on the final play of the third quarter in the Cowboys’ 33-14 loss to the Carolina Panthers on Thanksgiving. X-rays were taken Thursday, but they were inconclusive.

According to ESPN sources, the scan showed a small crack in the healed portion of the distal fracture that Romo suffered in the Week 2 game on Sept. 20 win against the Philadelphia Eagles that caused him to miss seven games.
