RoughRiders Fall 8-3 To Midland
The Frisco RoughRiders dropped the series finale at Midland 8-3 Thursday night.
Engel Beltre accounted for most of the Frisco offense, going 2-for-4 and scoring twice. Jurickson Profar scored the RoughRiders only other run.
Starting pitcher Tim Murphy gets the loss, dropping him to 1-4 on the season. Murphy gave up 6 runs on 7 hits in just 3 1/3 innings. Middle reliever Ross Wolf pitched 2 2/3 scoreless innings and Wilfredo Boscan gave up 2 runs in 2 innings.
The RoughRiders have lost 5 of their last 7 games and will try to turn things around at home when they host San Antonio for a 4-game series beginning Friday night.
