RoughRiders Lose To Midland

The Frisco RoughRiders lost to the Midland RockHounds 3-1 Sunday afternoon at Dr. Pepper Ballpark. Midland scored a run in each of the first 3 innings off starting pitcher Tim Murphy.
The RoughRiders generated 10 hits in the game, but were 0-for-7 with runners in scoring position, leaving 12 stranded on base.
Murphy went 5 innings, giving up 4 hits while striking out 3. Trevor Hurley and Chad Bell combined for 3 scoreless innings in relief.
Third baseman Mike Olt went 3-for-3 at the plate. First baseman Chris McGuiness went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in the 2nd.
The series with Midland continues Monday night at Dr. Pepper Ballpark in Frisco. First pitch is set for 7:05pm.
