The Frisco RoughRiders lost to the San Antonio Missions 4-2 on Monday’s game in Frisco. The RoughRiders won three out of the four games against the Missions.

Frisco had solid pitching to begin the game by starting pitcher Barrett Loux. He pitched five scoreless innings giving up only four hits in his outting. Loux also had a strikeout in the loss.

The offense was the first to get on the board after a fielding error by Missions right fielder Rymer Liriano helped to Alex Bucholtz touch home plate for the first run of the game. They also scored after a ground out by Jared Hoying led to a Chris McGuiness run in the sixth inning. McGuiness finished the game with a hit and a run in hopes of making a comeback effort against the Missions.

The Missions came back from a 0-1 deficit after Edinson Rincon recorded his seventh home run of the season bringing in three runs in the top of the sixth inning. Rincon, the designated hitter, finished the night with three RBI’s, a hit and a run in San Antonio’s turnaround win.

The RoughRiders were never able to recover from the Mission’s rally in the sixth, only scoring one run in the bottom of the sixth inning in their attempt to comeback in the game.

They RoughRiders look to go for another series win starting Tuesday when they take on the Midland RockHounds. First pitch is in Frisco at 7:00 p.m.
