The Riders were held scoreless through seven innings by Missions starter Kyle Lloyd (4-4), but the Riders had success against reliever Adam Cimber in the eighth. Ronald Guzman plated a pair of runs with a one-out single to cut San Antonio’s lead to 6-2. Frisco put runners on the corners with two outs, but left both runners stranded and failed to score the rest of the way.

The Missions (34-62, 12-14) tallied two additional runs against Ryne Slack in the eighth. Rocky Gale hit a solo home run, and Jose Rondon ripped an RBI double to left field.

Guzman and Isiah Kiner-Falefa both extended their on-base streaks to 19 games. Guzman had two singles, and Kiner-Falefa was hit by a pitch in in the eighth inning. Luis Marte went 3-for-4, recording his second three-hit game of the season.
